ABOUT THE CREATOR

Professor Dimitrov was born in 1935 in Sennik, Gabrovo District, Bulgaria

After completing high school, he went to the USSR, where, in 1959, graduated his higher education with honours, specialising in Technology of Chemical Fibres at the Leningrad Textile Institute.

On his return to Bulgaria in 1959, he began working at the Higher Institute of Chemical Technology in Sofia, Bulgaria.

In 1965, he once again went to the USSR and in 1969 completed his dissertation at the Moscow Textile Institute and worked as a researcher at the Department of Technology of Chemical Fibres of the same institute.

In 1970, he returned to Bulgaria and started working as a research associate at the Institute of Cellulose and continued as an assistant, associate professor, and professor at the Higher Institute of Chemical Technology in Sofia. At the same institute, he defended his thesis and received the academic title Doctor of Technical Science.

In 1980, he was awarded with the highest state honours of the Republic of Bulgaria – Dimitrovska Award for his achievements in the development of bio-medical materials with special-purpose. This honour has no equivalent to this day.

In 1985, Professor Dimitrov became a Deputy Director of the Institute for Special Fibres and Bioactive Materials, which, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the Higher Military Medical Academy, created a number of developments, patented and applied in medicine worldwide to this day.

In 1995, Professor Dimitrov founded his company which, using the huge scientific and practical experience of its founder, develops products in the field of medicine. One of them is the nutrition supplement Sirius-D. After a long period of experimental application, the product is marketed, receiving remarkably positive feedback from users.

Since 2016, the new range of nutritional supplements under the brand name Sirius-D has been on the market.

Professor Dimitrov is honoured with many Bulgarian and international awards and honours. He has over 250 copyright certificates, is the author of over 240 scientific publications and holds 15 patents.
